Stage of Dance™ is committed to providing a clear and transparent refund and exchange process for event attendees and organizers. Below, you’ll find the refund and exchange guidelines that apply to events hosted and ticketed through www.stageofdance.com. Please review these policies carefully, as they define your options and rights regarding ticket purchases.

1. General Refund Policy

Tickets purchased through Stage of Dance™ are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the event’s refund policy. Refund eligibility depends on the specific terms set by the organizer, which can be found in the event description.

  • Refund Requests: Attendees may request refunds if the organizer has enabled refunds and the request meets the criteria outlined below.
  • Refund Criteria: Refund criteria may vary by event and are determined by the organizer. Typical conditions include event cancellation, significant schedule changes, or force majeure circumstances.

2. Eligible Refund Scenarios

Refunds will be processed in specific cases, including but not limited to the following:

2.1. Event Cancellation
If the event is canceled by the organizer, Stage of Dance™ will issue a full refund for the ticket purchase, excluding payment gateway fees, as these are not refunded by financial institutions. Refunds are typically processed automatically within 14 business days, and attendees will receive an email notification.

2.2. Major Event Changes
In cases where significant changes are made to the event, such as a venue change, date rescheduling, or alteration of key event features, attendees may be eligible for a refund (excluding payment gateway fees) if the changes impact the original event experience. Attendees have 14 business days from the notification of the change to submit a refund request.

2.3. Force Majeure
Stage of Dance™ and the event organizer are not liable for cancellations or modifications due to force majeure events, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions. In such cases, refunds will be processed according to the organizer’s force majeure policy, if applicable, which will be clearly stated in the event listing.

3. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Certain situations do not qualify for refunds. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Personal Circumstances: Refunds are not granted for personal reasons, such as illness, scheduling conflicts, or transportation issues, unless specified by the organizer.
  • Partial Attendance: If you attend part of the event or are unable to access certain areas due to arriving late, refunds will not be issued.
  • Preference Changes: Changes in personal preferences or dissatisfaction with the event’s content, speakers, or performances do not qualify for refunds.

4. Requesting a Refund

If an event meets the criteria for a refund, attendees can request a refund by following these steps:

  1. Log in to Your Account: Access your Stage of Dance™ account to view your ticket purchases.
  2. Select the Relevant Event: Find the event for which you are requesting a refund.
  3. Submit Refund Request: Use the refund request option to initiate the process. You will receive a confirmation email upon submission.

Refund requests are reviewed within 7 business days. If approved, funds will be returned to the original payment method within an additional 14 business days, depending on your bank’s processing time.

5. Refund Processing and Fees

5.1. Processing Timeline
Stage of Dance™ aims to process approved refunds within 14 business days. However, bank processing times may vary, and it can take up to an additional 7 days for the funds to appear in your account.

5.2. Payment Gateway Fees
Payment gateway fees are non-refundable, as financial institutions do not return these fees. In partial refunds or cases where the organizer enables refunds, these fees will be deducted from the refunded amount.

6. Ticket Exchanges

Stage of Dance™ currently does not support ticket exchanges between events or attendees. Once a ticket is purchased, it is assigned to the original buyer and may not be transferred, unless the event organizer allows it. For questions regarding transferability, please contact the event organizer directly.

7. Organizers’ Responsibilities

Event organizers are responsible for clearly stating their refund and exchange policies in the event description, including policies related to force majeure, cancellation, or significant changes. Organizers are also required to notify attendees promptly of any event changes that may affect refund eligibility.

7.1. Organizer Refund Fund
To guarantee attendees’ refunds, Stage of Dance™ retains a percentage of event funds until the event is completed and no pending refund requests remain. This ensures that all eligible refunds are processed efficiently and according to policy.

7.2. Handling Refund Disputes
In the event of a dispute regarding refunds, Stage of Dance™ will facilitate communication between the organizer and attendee, but final responsibility for refunds lies with the event organizer.

8. Additional Information

8.1. Chargebacks
If an attendee initiates a chargeback with their bank instead of requesting a refund through Stage of Dance™, their account may be subject to investigation. Excessive chargebacks may lead to account suspension or restricted access to the platform.
